I got a bluey ……..
on a mountain.
All the way,…. from home.
And I wondered if …..
should I read it now….?
Or wait, until tomorrow ?
What words, may it contain ?
I fancied,….. I could smell..
In a lovers fair hand.
Your scent, ….upon the ink.
All the While
I’m sitting in a muddy hole
6,000 miles away,..
Where I viewed
A vista unsurpassed!
Where I saw stricken ships ……sink .
And wrapped …..within
a simple sheet ……of paper!
Within my pocket,
Lay……
