We kindly ask that you DO NOT send stamped self-addressed envelope to the office in future, unless you wish for your ticket to be delivered overseas, but send a small donation towards the office cost. Deadline for forms to be returned to us is Saturday 31st July 2021. If any forms are returned to us after this date your request for a Parade ticket will be declined
As part of this application process we have to provide the organisers of the event and the Metropolitan Police a detailed record of the SAMA 82 veterans and Special members who will be taking part in the Parade this year. Due to new General Data you will have to give written permission for SAMA82 to hold and share your personal details with the organisers, Metropolitan Police and the Union Jack club (if attending afterwards. In order to do this each individual application form must be completed and hand signed by the member wishing to attend the Cenotaph. Ticket holders will need to bring photographic ID, i.e.:- passport or driving licence. If participants fail to provide Officers with this evidence, they will be refused entry into Horse Guards Parade. Your details and address on the application form must match exactly the details on your ID. Could you please provide us with your email address. You will receive a confirmation email confirming that your application has been received, and a later one informing you that your ticket and information sheets has been posted to you. Due to security implication we will no longer be able to pass your ticket onto anyone else. Each individual ticket will be sent direct to the applying members’ home address. Please contact the office direct if this arrangement is unsuitable. After parade lunch. As usual SAMA 82 shall be holding an After Parade lunch at the Union Jack Club, Waterloo, which is open to all members and their families. The number of tickets available is limited to 120 so these will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. If you wish to attend the ‘After Parade Lunch’ you will need to apply and make payment for the same application form. The price of the Lunch is £14.72 per head. The set menu is:- Chicken Madras Curry served with Naan Bread , Vegetable Pulao Rice, Kachumber Salad, Mango Chutney. A vegetarian option is available. Payment can be made by either:- Cheque – made payable to SAMA 82 –and returned to the office preferably attached to your completed application form or if your application is submitted via email, direct to the office but clearly writing – Lunch / full name – on the back of the cheque. COVID 19 – Please be advised that the RBL are currently working towards business as usual for the Cenotaph Dispersal on Remembrance Sunday. They will continue to monitor government advice for mass gatherings to ensure the health and safety of participants, which remains their priority, and update accordingly. Should government guidelines necessitate, the Legion may need to reduce the number of spaces in the Parade at late notice.
