David & Cindy Strickland – on their Wedding Day 1981

“ I knew David when I was little, we used to play hide n seek at our Nanny’s house in Longton. Unfortunately our nanny passed away and when David passed away we gave him a memorial at St. Andrews Church in Longton with most of our Strickland family eg; grandparents, uncles, cousin etc.

Me and David was close, he was a few years older than me, so to also commemorate David, I’ve managed to get my son Jack Strickland Heise to join the Royal Navy and he succeeded.

Hopefully one day we’ll manage to find his wife Cindy and find more information about him.”

Family and friends are encouraged to contribute.

We will add information to this memorial as we receive it.

If you have a photo, an anecdote, or simply to say you remember him, we will be very pleased to hear from you, so please contact the sama office at
