Andrew, aka Andy, from Landrake in Cornwall was born on the 22nd April 1947.
He died on 21st May 1982 when his Gazelle helicopter was shot down by ground fire near Port San Carlos.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982. EVANS BEACH is a sandy beach east of Little Creek and Smylies Black Point on the north coast of mainland East Falkland.
