Announcement from Chris Howe MBE, Chairman of SAMA (82)
Following a formal governance process, and in accordance with the Association’s rules, the Trustees have agreed a transition in leadership.
Effective from 14th July 2026, I have been appointed as Chairman and will now lead the Association moving forward.
The Trustees understand that members may have questions. However, the circumstances surrounding this matter involve internal governance issues which the Trustees are not able to discuss publicly. It would not be appropriate, fair, or in the best interests of the Association to provide further detail.
The Trustees of SAMA (82) wish to record their thanks to Tom for his six years of service as Chairman of the Association,
who continues as a trustee.
The Trustees will not be making any further public comment on this matter. We sincerely ask members to respect that position and to allow the Association to move forward constructively.
We thank members for their understanding and continued support, as SAMA82 moves forward under its new leadership.
Chris Howe MBE
Chairman
SAMA (82)
