Kelvin, from Portland in Dorset was born on 28th July 1954
He was killed on 12th June 1982, when HMS Glamorgan was damaged by a land launched Exocet missile.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982. McCALLUM ROCK is a low rock islet east of Elephant Point, at the northwest end of Saunders Island, West Falkland.
