Archibald, from Glasgow, was born on 10th November 1960.
He was killed in action on 13th/14th June, during the Battle of Mount Tumbledown.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982. STIRLING COVE is located on the east side the lower reaches of Swan Inlet, close to Mare Harbour, East Falkland.
