He died on 8th June 1982, when Sir Galahad was bombed at Fitzroy.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982. STREATFIELD BEACH is located south of Sea Lion Point, at the west end of Port Salvador, on the north coast of East Falkland.
