I was on the vehicle electrician’s course with him before he was posted to the RWFs. After completing basic training he was posted to SEME Bordon to train as a vehicle electrician, {which is where I meet him as I joined his course part way through). He was an friendly person and he was devoted to his daughter. Sadly his posting to the Royal Welsh Fusilier was his first (and last) posting. It is nice to see that there is a lake (Tarn) named after him.
