A Commemorative bench was dedicated to Phillip Sweet in a newly created Memorial Gardens in Aberdare (South Wales) on Sunday 3rd November 2019.  This was organised by Cynon Valley Combined Services.

A hero and so young…I’d hope we might be related in some way…
Sweet being a rare name.

RIP Lance Corporal Philip Sweet.

Ben Sweet

Just a short remembrance of Philip Sweet, from his Scottish descendants .

Sending lots of love and sympathy to the family on such a sad day.

We all remember Philip as a happy boy and the fine man he became.

We send out regards especially to Cheryl and Alison, and their families.

We also remember Aunty Vilma and Uncle Cliff. They will never be forgotten.

Love goes out all bereaved. May their tears fall freely on such a sad day.

Andrew Taylor and the Scottish contingency
