Members Code of Conduct

It has come to the notice of trustees that abuse mainly verbal or oral has been experienced by some members of our veteran community.  Trustees understand all about the sharp humour of the military fraternity but we have to be particularly careful how this is used.  The association is set up to help those with PTSD and also those who have experienced troubling memories of their service in the South Atlantic.

May I ask you to be cautious about abusive, offensive or threatening conduct whether face to face, on the phone or using some of the modern technology.  If you use such conduct you undermine the purpose of SAMA 82 and the work of many in the professional and volunteer services that look after veterans.

The issue lies with just a few and we thank those who craft their exchanges with other veterans using care, diplomacy and thoughtfulness for the listener or reader.
