Barry, from Walsall in the West Midlands was born on 22nd March 1956.

He was attached to the Welsh Guards from the Army Catering Corps.  He died on 8th June 1982 when Sir Galahad was bombed at Fitzroy.

The original memorial for Barry unveiled in Walsall Town Hall following the conflict.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982.  BULLERS ISLAND is a small tussac island at the entrance to Brown Harbour in Port Philomel, West Falkland.
