Mark, from Wattstown in Rhondda, was born on the 15th April 1960.
He died on 8th June 1982 when the Sir Galahad was bombed in Fitzroy Sound.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982. GIBBY HILL the summit (945 Feet elevation) of South Jason in the Jason Islands Group.
