Private Jenkins was born on the 10th December 1962.
He died during the Battle for Mount Longdon on 12 June 1982, aged 19 years old.
He rests at Tudorville Cemetery, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982. JENKINS POINT is situated on the south coast of Dyke Island, West Falkland.
