David, from Bishop’s Waltham, Hampshire was born on 3rd July 1948.

He was when HMS Coventry was bombed and sunk while operating off the northern coast of West Falkland, on 25th May 1982.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982.   OZBIRN POINT is prominent headland midway along the coast, between White Rock Point and the entrance to Tamar Pass, West Falkland.
