Daniel, from Edinburgh, Mid Lothian, was born on 28th April 1945.

He died during the Battle of Mount Tumbledown on 13th/14th June 1982.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982.   WIGHT ARM is the eastern arm of Double Creek West Arm, West Falkland.
