Corporal Scott ‘Scotty’ Wilson, was born in Abadan, Iran, and served with 9 Parachute Squadron RE.

During the Falklands campaign, he was serving alongside The 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA).

Corporal Wilson died during the Battle for Mount Longdon on 12 June 1982, aged 25 years old.

He rests in a civilian cemetery in Edinburgh.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982.   WILSON POINT is the Northern Tip of Tea Island, West Falkland.
