Clifford, from Pontypridd, Mid Glamorgan was born on the 15th December 1953.

He died on 8th June 1982 when the Sir Galahad was bombed in Fitzroy Sound.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982.   ELLEY BAY can be found on the north shore of Port Richard, West Falkland.
