It’s over lads, the war is won
‘Tis  time to walk away
Yet as we leave let’s not forget
Those brave souls who have to stay

June 14 in 82 Falklands war it ends,
It’s such a happy day
Some men cheer and jump with joy
While others kneel and pray

The years pass by it’s now been 42
And we still recall their names
Knocker, Smudge, Bill and Fred young men we have no more

Tonight we sit together remembering 82
We have a laugh and shed a tear tell jokes of times gone by
I hope we will be here next year to remember 82.
