Our Band of Brothers Few

We went again far south from home,
Old friends and some we knew,
We walked the paths of years ago,
Our Band of Brothers few.
San Carlos , Goose Green then Ajax Bay,
We saw where comrades fell,
The rocky hills of Tumbledown,
Mount Longdon the Paras hell.
We shed our tears for boys long gone,
Our friends in arms indeed,
Who fought to free these Islands
From tyranny and greed.
We made new friends and told a yarn,
Of stories long ago,
We tried to drink the Island dry,
But the years have made us slow.
I ask you now to raise a glass,
Just once or maybe twice,
For Queen and Country, The Falkland Isles
But those who paid the price.
