Lance Corporal Peter David Higgs was born on 7th October 1958.  

He served with D/Patrol Company, 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment (3 PARA).

Lance Corporal Higgs died on 12 June 1982 during the Battle for Mount Longdon.

He rests at Tidworth Military Cemetery, Wiltshire.

In 2022, as part of the 40th Anniversary commemorations, geographical features were identified and named after the fallen of 1982.   HIGGS CREEK is a shallow enclosed creek at the head of Grantham Sound between Port Sussex and brenton Loch, East Falkland.
